The Air Jordan 17 (XVII) – Low black/chrome contained most of the same features as the high top version, but did not have the cover for the lacing system. The Air Jordan 17 shoes' features were a low cut leather design with alligator skin around the ankle and lacing tabs, chrome accents on the lacing eyelets, and at the heel area with the peel off sticker, a lightweight phylon midsole with blow molded heel Air-Sole unit and forefoot tuned air unit, TPU heel stabilizer for heel and ankle support, and a full length composite shank plate provided increased support and prevents turf toe, an inner sleek which was clearly visible, giving the Jordan 17 shoes more supportive and contouring fit.
